Each Lazy Susan is handcrafted from select woods and handpainted by Susan (the Artist)! All Lazy Susans have multiple layers of finish applied to protect the wood.

We've been asked where the term "Lazy Susan" come from. Here's one theory: "The term "Lazy Susan" came into popularity in the early 20th century. The term is sometimes thought to have originated from a notoriously lazy house servant; however this theory is unlikely. It is more likely that the term "Lazy Susan" was hit upon simply because of its rhythmic appeal concocted by marketers."
